Creative leadership

Raul “RAZ” Zeballos

A life in music shaped by early opportunity, years of hands-on production, and a long view of what artists need to make lasting work.

Raul Zeballos began producing professionally as a preteen, after being discovered at the age of 12. That early start became a career built inside the process of making records: developing ideas, producing songs, and working across the many details that bring an artist’s vision into focus.

Over the years, his work connected him with teams and projects associated with Bad Boy, So So Def, RCA, Arista, Sony Discos, and Sony Music Global. The experience helped shape an approach grounded in craft, collaboration, and the belief that an artist’s voice should remain at the center of the work.

In 2011, Raul and his wife, Maureen, founded Rare Monkey Entertainment. Their company grew to bring recording and production together with Rare Monkey Publishing, its own music publishing company. In 2016, they began construction of Rare Monkey Studios in the Palm Beaches.

Rare Monkey Studios is a world-class commercial recording facility and creative headquarters in Palm Beach County. Across the company, Raul’s focus remains on thoughtful production, strong creative foundations, and building an institution that can support artists at different stages of their journey.

Beyond the work, Raul describes being a husband and father as central to who he is. Family has shaped the way he thinks about leadership, responsibility, and what it means to build something meant to last.

Business leadership

Maureen Zeballos

An entrepreneurial perspective shaped by investment management, lasting partnerships, and a long view of creative opportunity.

Before entering the music business, Maureen built a successful career in investment management as a relationship manager for hedge and investment funds. A prolific trader, she developed a sharp feel for timing, careful decision-making, and the people behind every opportunity.

Her experience spans relationship management, business partnerships, and music publishing rights. Maureen brings a thoughtful, business-minded perspective to creative work, with an understanding of how trust, clear communication, and sound partnerships help ideas move forward.

A serial entrepreneur throughout her life, Maureen has continually built businesses and developed ideas into real opportunities. She is drawn to the process of recognizing potential, bringing the right people together, and giving a promising concept the structure and attention it needs to grow.

As co-founder of Rare Monkey Entertainment, Maureen brings that entrepreneurial instinct and broad business experience to the company’s work with music and artists. Her approach is grounded in long-term thinking: build strong relationships, support creative ambition, and create the conditions for meaningful work to endure.
